Content | Product Weight: 300 Grams Storage Instructions: Store in a dry place Package: Bag | The brown chickpea (also known as Desi or Kala Chana) is a smaller version of the regular pale yellow chickpea. It has a brown skin but remains yellow underneath. These chickpeas can be used in curries, soups and salads. They can be stewed with meats like lamb and fish. Brown chickpeas could also be mixed with cous cous or tiny grains like quinoa or amaranth then dressed with oil and spices to make interesting side dishes. | Chana Dal is also called Bengal Gram, Kadale Bele and Kadalai Paruppu. It is an important lentil in Indian cooking as it is so tasty, robust and versatile. It resembles the yellow split pea in colour and size, although it is smaller and sweeter, with a nutty flavour. Chana Dal is often combined with sweeter vegetables, such as pumpkin and zucchini. | Moong dal is the whole split mung bean, including the husks. It is cooked and eaten in the same manner as any other lentils. Full of wholesome protein and fibre. | Whole Mung Beans / Moong Beans are small, yellowish-green beans. The whole beans are quite different from the split ones: they have a stronger flavour and so are seldom interchangeable. In India, they are cooked with a variety of spices and other vegetables to make delicious dhals and curries. They are particularly easy to digest and take on seasonings and spices well. | Alubia Beans, often known as White Rajma, White Kidney Beans or Cannellini Beans, are an excellent source of protein and are very popular in northern India. | ||||||||||||||||||||
